The Mina Justa Mining Unit is located in the coastal desert of the Ica Region, province of Nasca, 35 kilometers from the district of San Juan de Marcona, and 12 kilometers from the Pan-American Highway South.

- Mina Justa does not have aquifers in its operations area, so there is no presence of groundwater. In addition, it recycles 100% of the water it uses, which makes it a zero-discharge operation. There is a seawater system consisting of impulse pumps and a conveyance pipeline that runs more than 35 km to Mina Justa. Seawater is taken from the seabed at a depth of five meters, some 190 meters from the coast. A minimum percentage is desalinated for the camp without any return to the sea, while the rest enters the production process of the plants without being treated. Mina Justa is the second mining operation in Peru to use seawater for ore processing, prioritizing the use of this water resource for the population.
